Bodega Marine Laboratory
Dante works as a laboratory assistant, using MATLAB to visualize and analyze data collected by members of COG and other associated groups. In collaboration with researchers at SFSU's EOS center, Dante has focused on characterizing the oxygen conditions of the San Francisco Bay to understand what mechanisms may enable hypoxic water to enter the bay. Dante has also assisted in analysis of the HFR dataset off the US West Coast. He is interested in not only extracting physical patterns from observational data, but also considering the ways these patterns may influence biological and anthropological communities. Dante graduated from UC Santa Cruz in Fall 2019 with a BS in Earth Science and a BS in Marine Biology and will be pursuing his PhD at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in Fall 2020.
